Excellent food!
As always, L’Experience was outstanding. We had the most delicious lobster to start - sumptuous and cooked perfectly. Our main courses were the carpaccio and rack of lamb, which my husband said was delicious. My carpaccio was superb - delicate and balanced. The chocolate mousse pudding is always a winner too! We really enjoy our evenings at L’Experience. The staff are friendly and kind and the Chef and his team are excellent. We look forward to our return. Thank you.
Very Poor L’Experience Experience
Sadly, our experience yesterday at L’Experience did not meet expectations at all. From arrival to departure there were a catalogue of issues that we have never had before when dining here. Firstly being left with no contact from staff for at least 15 mins after arrival, then it taking 25 minutes until we were taken to our table. Our starters only arrived after 45 minutes. Clearly the staff were under pressure and were already having difficulties managing service/timings with other large table bookings. We had cause to send some of our ordered food back as it was either cold, or not properly prepared. Overall, we were very disappointed with the whole evening. The attitude, competence and manner of some of the staff was not what we would expect in any restaurant, let alone one that markets itself on its ambience and high quality food and experience. The only exception to this was a senior member of staff who tried very hard to resolve issues and apologised profusely for each problem we had encountered. She, alone was the only person we would rate highly. The final issue was a clear discrepancy between the listed menu prices on L’Experience’s website and the prices on the menu sheet from which we chose our meal in the restaurant! We were advised that the menu prices have been increased in last couple of weeks in the restaurant, however the website listed menu (from which I decided upon and booked online) has not been updated. Overall, I was very disappointed with our visit last night to L’Experience restaurant as I had booked this for a special occasion, believing it would meet or surpass its usual standards. Sadly, I would now be dis-inclined to rebook or recommend this restaurant to others.
Poor service
Very disappointed with the service after our main course it took us 37 mins to catch someone s eye to get the desert menu then another 20 min to get it staff are very friendly but clearly cannot cope the food is great so are the surroundings such a shame could be fantastic.

Fantastic Meal
Food tasted amazing! Staff were friendly, polite and attentive throughout our visit. It’s more of a treat meal as it’s a little on the expensive side, but definitely worth the cost for lovely food and experience.
Consistently great food
We have been going to L’Experience for 40 years and the food has remained consistently great which is quite a reputation to have over so many years. It is pricy but the food is so good it’s something to look forward to for a special occasion, like our 40th wedding anniversary and husbands 65th birthday
